What to bring
Now it’s time to finalise your last minute details with us and start preparing for one of the best holidays you’ll ever have! We MUST be notified of the following NO LATER THAN 4 WEEKS prior to departure:
We need to know how you would like the bedrooms on your boat made up to suit your group’s sleeping requirements. Beds can zip apart to become singles so we need to know what configuration you would like the beds made up in. Example: 12 passengers on a 4 bedroom boat could be 4 queens and 2 double sofa beds.
Would you like ice in the on board chilly bin for the storage of your drinks. Cost is $45.00 with the cost deducted from your security bond at the end of your trip. A load of ice consists 3 x 10kg bags of crushed ice..
Are you bringing any electrical equipment onboard the boat? If so, we need to ensure that anything you are bringing is compatible with our power systems. Coffee machines, Hair dryers, electric shavers, mobile phone and camera chargers are fine – anything apart from that MUST be approved! Failure to gain approval for any electrical appliances could result in damage to the power system for which the hirer is responsible.
Ski Boats, Jet skis and Dinghies and kayaks:
You are more than welcome to bring along your own boats, jet skis and kayaks, but please advise the office before hand if you intend to do so as we would like to be sure that you will be bringing all the required safety equipment. We will also be able to advise the location of the nearest boat ramp etc
You also need to bring your fuel supplies in jerry cans and be mindful that your fuel CANNOT be stored on the houseboat at any time.
Food & Drinks:
While most provide their own we are able to assist with any requirements you might have regarding catering.
Additional Boat Hire:
We have a 12 foot Punt with outboard to enable those with boating experience to explore the Riverland. We and can also arrange for a kayak safari or hire and all involve an additional charge.
Should your cruise involve several days we are able to offer a range of activities, transfers, and day trips that can enhance your houseboat holiday. Once you have finalized these details, please contact us by email or on (09) 6388305 or 021 137 0066
